If you travel 30 feet at a compass heading of 45 degrees M(northeast), that is an example of a displacement vector. In this activity, Dyou will move from a beginning pont to an ending point by following 9directions given to you in terms of displacement vectors. Procedure: H A. Begin at a point near the center of the butcher paper. Mark this Kpoint with a dot and label this point "A". Measure 25 cm. along a compass 0heading of 285 degrees. This locates point "B".< From point B measure 50 cm along a compass heading of 80 degrees. This is point "C".< From point C measure 30 cm along a compass heading of 110 degrees. This is point "D". C B. Using your meter stick, measure the distance from point A to Jpoint D. Use your compass to determine the straight direction from point A to point D. F(Groups will turn in butcher paper drawing with distance and straight 'direction labeled for lab report.)
